Capacity building workshop on Citizen Report Card

The Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA Kenya) under the Futures Programme held a capacity building workshop on Citizen Report Card and how to conduct a household survey on 5th and 6th June 2017 for enumerators in preparation for data collection in the study on service user satisfaction levels for polytechnics in Nakuru County. Findings from the study which will be finalised in the month of August will be used for policy engagement with government officers in the County of Nakuru and at the national level. The outcome of the highly interactive and practical workshop was the piloting of the survey instrument at Nakuru Youth Polytechnic on 6th of June. The activity is one among several that aim at building the capacity of county based CSOs and citizens to effectively engage in devolved governance processes in the Uraia Trust funded project titled: Promoting Social Economic Rights through Participatory and Accountable Governance part of a wider Uraia Trust project Rooting Democracy in Kenya through an informed citizenry, Phase II.
