IEA Launches the Diversity Management and Pluralism Study

Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA-Kenya) launched a report on Diversity Management and Pluralism in Kenya’s Private Sector Firms, on Friday, 23rd March 2018 at the Sarova Panafric Hotel, Nairobi which was done in patnership with Global Centre for Pluralism(GCP), Canada. 

The study released by Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA Kenya), seeks to establish the status of pluralism and diversity management in the private sector in Kenya by examining: the efforts put in by players in the sector aimed at promoting pluralism; the nature of diversity management in the sector; the extent to which the sector has embraced or resisted efforts towards pluralism and diversity; the impact of pluralism and diversity management in organizations in the sector; and identification of trends, challenges and drivers of pluralism and diversity management in the sector.  In sum, the study aims at facilitating a common understanding of pluralism and diversity management among all stakeholders in Kenya’s private sector with the goal of optimizing their organization's approach to diversity management, and the ultimate realization of pluralistic workplaces.

In attendance during the launch of the study were; representatives from private sector companies and umbrella bodies, advocates, Human Resource Managers, Civil Society Organizations, IEA members and the public at large.
