Launch and Dissemination of perception study of Service users in youth polytechnics in Nakuru County

The Institute of Economic Affairs through the Futures programme in partnership with Nakuru based CSOs, Center for Transformational Leadership (CTL) and Centre for Enhanced Democracy and Good Governance (CEDGG) held a launch and dissemination meeting of the Citizen Report Card on Youth Polytechnic Students’ Perception of Vocational Training in Nakuru County. The meeting was held at Eagle Palace Hotel, Nakuru on 29 November 2017. In attendance were among others; Principals of Youth Polytechnics in Nakuru County, Sub-County Education Officers, Ministry of Education Officers, Quality Assurance Officers, CSOs and Media. The objective of the meeting was to present findings of the study to stakeholders. Key outcome of the meeting was appreciation of findings by the principals of the institutions where the survey was undertaken and commitment to utilize the findings to enhance service delivery to the users of the institutions. Other issues for policy considerations emerging from the forum are to be included in a policy brief on Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Kenya for further engagement with stakeholders at both the national and county level.
