Training Workshop for Political Parties Representatives and CSOs on 5 Socio-economic Issues

The Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA-Kenya) under the project titled: Kenya Electoral Assistance Program (KEAP) funded by IFES held a one and half day training workshop on five socio-economic issues affecting Kenya; Employment, Education, Health, Water and Sanitation, and Housing on the 15th and 16th of June 2017 at Maanzoni Lodge in Machakos County. This was one of the training workshops targeting political parties and county based Civil Society Organizations. 

The aim of the workshop was to highlight the effects  these issues have on women, youth and persons with disability with a view to empower these interest groups to effectively participate and inform policy and issue oriented discourse during and beyond the forthcoming elections. The research paper on the five socio-economic issues is scheduled to be launched on Friday, 23rd June 2017 at the Hilton Hotel, Nairobi
