The government of Kenya has made tremendous strides in public finance management reforms with regard to improving budget transparency and public participation. This assertion is evidenced by the recent events surrounding the submission of the Executive Budget Estimates 2014/15 to the National Assembly on 30th April 2014. This bulletin not only captures IEA’s analysis of the Executive Budget Estimates 2014/15, but also notes some of the positive strides made by the National Government with regard to detailed budget information, improved budget format and presentation, and timely dissemination of the same to the public.
