 “Ahead of the August 2017 general elections, the IEA conducted an analysis of the probable election scenarios that may result from the presidential ballot. The analysis examines the current state of play in terms of the electoral environment, based on existing legal and institutional frameworks for credible, free and fair elections. It looks at the role of various actors in achieving different scenarios and possible outcomes of the presidential elections.
