IEA is a membership organization. The IEA is Kenya's first public affairs dialogue forum. It grew out of the 1992 Post Election Action Programme (PEAP), a joint effort by Kenyan professionals and academics.
The members of IEA are a group of committed experts whose sole interest is to make professional contributions to the formulation of alternative public policy. Membership is open to professionals with interest in economic issues, policy issues and research. Membership is also open to corporate entities and other institutions engaged in non-profit work. Currently there are 48 fully paid up members this year and 37 life members.
